Maiden first division

Highway Hero, Katopop and The Ballybreen Fox have all been placed this season at Dunsmore and Larkhill and hold chances. Newcomers Coolattitude and Saved by Sam are ones to note as is Will Biddick-trained Yes and Yes

Maiden second division

Cooler Than Me who was second at Badbury Rings when Highway Hero was third. He’llstopatthetop’s third to Salt Rock at Charlton Horethorne last season may be good enough. Ex- Irish Ihandaya is interesting for Sam Loxton as is well-bred, Lucarne. Putemunderpressure now with Mickey Bowen any support for him should be noted.

The Ladies Race

Veteran Caid Du Berlais remains unbeaten and it will take a good rival to lower his colours but Born Survivor who won on his pointing debut at Larkhill might. Others are Beau du Brizais but this will be his seasonal debut, consistent Sixteen Letters, Rhythm Is A Dancer will improve for his seasonal debut at Larkhill and One For Rosie who won two of his four chases.

The Men’s Open

Singapore Saga won well at Wadebridge and was the only one to give Envious Editor a race at Taunton. Kaproyale was no match for high class Famous Clermont at Larkhill. Trio for Rio was in good form last season while Pride of Lecale is a winning chaser is worth noting. Country Legend has a good record at Milborne. Will Biddick has ex French Macklin and is one to watch.

The Hunt Race

Dawn Sunrise won this race in 2022 and should come on for his seasonal debut. Imogens Thunder won four races in a row last season and he will be hard to beat. Who’s My Jockey may give Imogens Thunder the most to do.

The Older Maiden Race

This race could be divided on the day. A Tipple or Two would not be winning out of turn for trainer Caroline Keevil. Furioso Des Bordes is now with George Hiscock and his placed form from last season would give him chances. Go Sacre Go had good form under Rules. Takeabid was second at Dunsmore whereas Tipsy Hall was third at Wadebridge. Millstone is now with Teresa Clark while Hannah Clarke’s Right put in a much better performance on his seasonal debut.

The Restricted Race

Regatta de Blanc demolished his rivals when winning a Maiden at Larkhill. Cossack Dancer was third at Chaddesley Corbett and could place. Cuzzicombe was well beaten at Larkhill behind Rabble Rouser has each way prospects. Jetmeoutofhere won twice last season for Dean Summersby.

The Conditions Race

Dr Rhythm won three races last season and should be noted on his seasonal debut. Talented dual winner Fiston des Issard steps up in class and the same applies to Field Exhibition. Coco Live would also have chances. Reflex Action won a Maiden at this last year followed by a Restricted. Bold Conduct was impressive winning a Restricted at Larkhill. Paloma Blue was second at Larkhill behind Viroflay and he could go one better.
